About Susan

Becoming a Podiatrist is the best decision I’ve made, I get to see and meet all kinds people and their foot health.  I’m originally from Liverpool and moved to Manchester to study and gain my BSc (Hons) Podiatry Medicine Qualification, at University of Salford in 2001.  I worked for Scholl for nine years, since getting married and having a young family I went into private practice eight years ago.

I have experience in all areas of podiatry from general Foot Care, Wound Care, Diabetes, Children, Verruca, Nails Surgery and my specialist area Biomechanics.  I’m registered with (HCPC) Health & Care Professions Council, (SCPOD) Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists and registered with (ICO) Information Commissioner’s Office data protection.  Using the most up to date techniques, standards of best practice set out by the HCPC, by keeping up to date with continual professional development (CPD).

I have a Prescription only medication certificate that allows me to prescribe a number of medications needed to treat foot infections.

I am a Reflexologist and have been practicing since 1999.  I use the Alexander technique helping to reduce stress, relieve pain, promote health and well being.

Around 1 year ago I attended The Foot Clinic for a routine appointment to treat a verucca. At the appointment the very diligent Podiatrist spotted a mark on a toe completely unrelated to the verruca.  Susan urged me to go and get the mark assessed.  I duely followed this advice and had the tests.  Ultimately this led to the removal of my toe.  However, had Susan not spotted the mark the prognosis could have been far worse.
Following my appointment I went almost immediately into treatment and as such did not return to have the verruca removed for many months.  During this period Susan actually rang me to enquire how I was and the situation with the toe.  I personally greatly appreciated this level of concern.

As such I would like to personally thank her and would fully recommend the service to anyone.

I have used Sue Moffatt my podiatrist since 2006 as I am a registered Diabetic. She has looked after me during  this period and I am perfectly satisfied. At my annual Diabetic Clinic I always receive a comment on how well my feet are being looked after.

I can't do my feet myself so having you do them makes them feel so much better
