Privacy Policy

Information about my patients is important to my business.Your personal information is taken in the initial instance to make an appointment and register your contact details. In the initial consultation information will be requested regarding your current, general and historic health in order for me to provide you with the best treatment possible.

You are under no obligation to provide any information if you do not wish.

All information will be stored with the patient's consent and will be locked securely in a filing cabinet and used solely for the purpose of treatment.

Under the Clinical Standards of Podiatric Practice I am obliged to keep patient records for a minimum of 8 years. If you are a child, until your 25th birthday.

You are also entitled to see the data held about you and once the legal minimum time has elapsed you can request all data to be erased.

As a podiatrist I am legally bound to respect my patients' rights to privacy and I must comply with the law on data protection.

I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

  • Medical professionals.  With your consent I will share your information with medical professionals such as your GP or consultant to allow continuity of care.
  • Business transfers.  If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law and with your consent.
  • Compliance with laws.  I may collect, use, retain and share your information if I am legally required to.

No information will be shared for the use of direct marketing unless consulted and agreed.
